Book directly through our Nightsbridge booking system, which is also linked to Booking.com and Lekker Slaap. You can also contact us for direct bookings via WhatsApp or phone.
We have a strict no-refund, no-cancellation policy. However, we may consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis for valid emergencies. Please contact us directly if you have an exceptional circumstance.
We don't have fixed check-in/check-out times - we're flexible! Coordinate your arrival and departure times with us when booking.
Own Tent: R150pp, bring your own camping gear.
2x2m Dome: R400-R600, mattresses only.
3x3m Dome: R500-R800, 2 single beds.
3x6m Tent: R650-R1100, double bed (most spacious).
Basic bedding (comforter and pillow) is provided in our dome tents and 3x6m tents. If you're bringing your own tent, you'll need to bring all bedding. We recommend bringing an extra blanket if you get cold easily - Karoo nights can be chilly!
There is no electricity at the campsites - this is intentional for an authentic desert experience. Solar charging is available at the main building. Bring a torch/headlamp (essential!) and pre-charge your devices.
Yes! We have clean shared ablutions with hot showers and flush toilets available 24/7.
Yes, solar-powered charging is available at the main building. We recommend bringing a pre-charged power bank for convenience.
Essential: Towels (NOT provided), food, drinks, torch/headlamp, sunscreen, toiletries
Recommended: Extra blanket, warm clothes for evenings, swimwear, camera, power bank
Optional: Firewood (available for purchase), cooler box, camping chairs
No, towels are NOT provided. Please bring your own towels for showers and the pool.
Yes! Bring all your own food and drinks. We have a bar on-site for drinks (cash and card accepted), and we offer braai packs for bikers or those without food storage space. The nearest shops are in Ceres.
Yes, firewood is available for purchase on-site. You're also welcome to bring your own.
Yes! Rooidakkies is pet-friendly. Bring your furry friends along for the adventure. Please keep them under control and clean up after them.
Absolutely! Kids under 12 get half-price rates, and under 2 is free. The pool and open spaces are great for children. Just keep safety in mind - it's an off-grid environment.
Book online via Nightsbridge (card payments accepted). For direct bookings, we can invoice you and you can pay via EFT. The bar on-site accepts both cash and card.
Yes! Each campsite has its own braai/fire pit. We also have a communal fire pit and braai room. Please follow fire safety rules and never leave fires unattended.

Detailed directions will be provided when you book. The drive from Cape Town takes approximately 2-3 hours. A sedan car can make it, but higher clearance vehicles are recommended for gravel roads.
Cell phone reception in the Tankwa Karoo can be limited. Some networks work better than others. This is part of the "escape" experience!
The Karoo has extreme temperatures. Summer days can be very hot (30-40°C) while nights are cooler. Winter days are mild but nights can drop to near freezing. Bring layers and sun protection!
Stargazing (incredible dark skies!), hiking, swimming, photography, relaxing, socializing around the fire, and exploring the unique Karoo landscape. The Tankwa Karoo National Park is also nearby.
YES! The Tankwa Karoo has some of the darkest skies in South Africa. With minimal light pollution and our off-grid setup, you'll see the Milky Way in stunning detail. Bring a camera!
